Marissa Forbes graduated in 2008 from the Writing for Publication, Performance, and Mass Media department at Pratt Institute. Her love for words has allowed her to publish poetry (Scrabble or Nietzsche at imitationfruit.com) and flash fiction (On Their Skin at languageandculture.net), produce a poetry reading series (Way of the Word through REPUBLIC Worldwide) along with write and produce off Broadway short plays adapted from her poems (Scabble or Nietzsche and Dye or Montaigne). She is currently working on an adaptation of her hybrid novel, Baby is My Business, into a documentary which will be completed once she finishes her graduate degree in Media Studies at The New School.
